Position Summary
The Turret Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools to perform turret punching operations and laser cutting operations. This role requires a high level of skill, broad knowledge of turret punching techniques, familiarity with program formats, and the ability to work with close tolerances and finish specifications.
Shift: 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:45pm-1:45am
Responsibilities
Responsibilites
- Operate Turret machine
- Operate Laser machine
- Check parts
- Read and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
- Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
- Accurately records and reports hours worked
- Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
- Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
- Support and complies with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Complete all other work duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to take direction from the area manager.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend meetings.
- Ability to cross-train in other areas of production when required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Desireable Qualifications
- Two-year CNC Machining Degree
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
