Position Summary:
The Mold Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping our production running smoothly. This position is responsible for performing mold repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on a wide range of complex and highly intricate injection molds often requiring work within extremely precise tolerances.
Shift:
Monday- Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30pm
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on injection molding tooling
- Identify and recommend improvements for tool development and performance
- Read and follow work instructions, setup sheets, and checklists accurately
- Record time and repair details into the maintenance ticket system.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Comply with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device regulations
- Understand and follow all standard work procedures
- Participate in all required company meetings
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to 5S principles
- Support the Operational Excellence Program
- Work effectively in a manufacturing environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of quality procedures and standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints
- Skilled in using hand tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with Operational Excellence or Lean Manufacturing practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions and SOPs
- Mechanical dexterity with strong hand-eye coordination
- Proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to take direction from supervisors
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Desirable Criteria & Qualifications:
- Experience using surface grinders, mills, and lathes is preferred
- 1-3 years of hands-on bench experience in a tooling environment preferred
Physical & Environmental Demands:
Cretex Companies may use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
