Operator Assembler I Position Summary
The Operator Assembler I will be responsible for operating and tending manufacturing machines, per prescribed work instructions, to create parts or products. This position is also responsible for quality checks, assembly, packaging, labeling, and moving of product.
1st shift schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 4:00pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, trim, clean, and package products to customer specifications
- Operate hand equipment and tools used in the assembly process
- Ensure quality products are being produced by following work instructions and inspecting parts
- Read and understand Operational Quality Inspections (OQI’s)
- Ability to use measuring equipment (gauge pins, calipers, tape measure)
- Maintaining daily production rates
- Communicate issues with equipment, material, or processes
- Perform assembly and secondary operations
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
- Ability to use a microscope and operate hand tools
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
- Knowledge of basic math concepts
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
Perferred Requirements:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
