Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management and administrative support for the company engineering and quality functions. The Project Manager will be responsible for working closely with estimation, design, manufacturing, and engineering to support our strategic business objectives.
This role will work from our Cretex Medical CDT Brooklyn Park, MN location.
Responsibilities
- Develop, track and maintain project schedules (Gantt charts) for individual projects and/or customer orders.
- Work with design, engineering, production, and supply chain to establish critical milestones and timelines to meet internal and/or external customer requirements.
- Assist in administrative functions of project-related assignments including planning, tracking and documentation of multiple projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout
- Document project meetings between design, engineering, customer service and sales
- Coordination of pre and postproduction analysis
- Maintain project file organization including customer quotes, conceptual drawings, design drawings, artwork, approved drawings of layouts and artwork, prints for manufacturing
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure component or material deliveries are on track to plan and appropriate inventory levels are assigned to facilitate a production launch schedule.
- Update and maintain metrics
- Organize and schedule customer project meetings and publish meeting minutes
- Coordinate order acceptance and release to production
- Provide any required administrative support to the Engineering Manager
- Attend the daily operations meetings in order to act as the liaison between customers and the support services
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and function properly
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Complete all other work duties as assigned
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Detail oriented and organized in terms of developing action plans, schedules, and timelines
- Electronic recordkeeping and documentation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints
- Working knowledge of QSM, ISO 13485, GMP, FDA regulation
- Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in timely manner
- Ability to consistently achieve short and long-term business results
- Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
- Significant computer experience including MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
Desirable Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Engineering Experience
- Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
